Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Jethin Productions, a business registered in Andhra Pradesh, India (Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-AP-04-0151506) ("we", "us"), for your use of the 2Sentence website and app ("2Sentence"). By using 2Sentence, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use 2Sentence.

2. What 2Sentence provides

2Sentence connects to email accounts you choose with read-only access, writes short AI-generated summaries of new emails, and shows them to you with notifications, tasks and a daily brief. Most of 2Sentence is free. 2Sentence Pro, sold on our website, adds summaries written by Claude and removes ads (see section 16). We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for digital consent in your country, to use 2Sentence. If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use 2Sentence only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you. You may connect only email accounts that you own or are authorized to access. If you connect a work or school account, you're responsible for following your organization's policies.

4. Your account

You can sign in to 2Sentence with your Google account, your Apple account or a one-time code sent to your email address, or use it as a guest on one device. Give accurate information when you sign in. Keep your account secure, and sign out of 2Sentence on shared devices. You're responsible for activity that happens through your account. Tell us promptly at jethinproductions@2sentence.space if you believe someone has accessed your 2Sentence account without permission.

5. AI summaries

Reminders for deadlines and classes are a convenience. They depend on your school's calendar, the timetable you saved and your device's notifications, so always keep track of important deadlines yourself.

Summaries, explanations, translations, confidence levels and tasks are written by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude or the AI model on our own infrastructure, as described in the privacy policy), not by a person. They are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They are not professional, legal, financial or medical advice. Read the original email before making decisions that matter, and don't rely on 2Sentence as your only way of noticing important messages.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use 2Sentence to:

• access email accounts you're not authorized to access, or forward other people's email to 2Sentence without the right to do so;
• break the law or the terms of Microsoft, Google or your email provider;
• interfere with, overload, probe or bypass the security of 2Sentence;
• copy, resell or build a competing service from 2Sentence without our written permission.

7. Third-party services

2Sentence works with services run by others, including Microsoft, Google, IMAP email providers and browser notification services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their availability or actions.

8. Your content

Your email and the summaries created from it belong to you. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide 2Sentence, as described in the privacy policy.

9. Our content

2Sentence, including its design, software, name and logo, is owned by Jethin Productions and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you any rights to it beyond using 2Sentence as intended.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep 2Sentence running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using 2Sentence at any time by selecting Delete account in Settings. These sections continue to apply after you stop: 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 18.

12. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, 2Sentence is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Jethin Productions won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for missed emails, lost data, lost profits or decisions made based on summaries. Our total liability for any claim relating to 2Sentence is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for 2Sentence in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, where Jethin Productions is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use 2Sentence after that means you accept the updated terms.

16. 2Sentence Pro and payments

• What you get: while Pro is active, summaries, explanations and timetable reading are written by Claude (when it's available; otherwise by our own AI), and no ads are shown.
• Prices: shown on 2sentence.space/pro before you pay: in Indian rupees for buyers in India, and in US dollars (converted to your currency at checkout) everywhere else. Any local tax is shown at checkout. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects time you've already paid for.
• How it works: you pay once for a month (31 days) or a year (366 days). Each payment adds that time to your Pro. Nothing renews automatically and there is nothing to cancel. When your time runs out, your account goes back to the free plan and nothing is deleted.
• Free week: each account can try Pro free once, for 7 days. No card or payment details are asked for, and it goes back to Free by itself when the week ends.
• Student price: a year of Pro at a lower price, for people who sign in with, or connect, a college or university email address (for example one ending in .edu or .ac.in). Paid in rupees. We may ask for other proof of student status, and may end Pro bought at the student price if the address wasn't really a student's.
• Where to buy: Pro is sold only on our website. In India, we sell it to you and Razorpay processes the payment. Everywhere else, Dodo Payments is the reseller and merchant of record: you buy Pro from Dodo Payments, its buyer terms also apply to the purchase, and it handles payment, local tax, receipts and refunds. The Android and iPhone apps don't sell Pro; Pro bought on the website works in them too.
• Refunds: you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment by emailing jethinproductions@2sentence.space with your payment ID (or, for purchases outside India, through Dodo Payments' receipt). Nothing here limits refund or withdrawal rights that the consumer law of your country gives you. After that, payments are not refunded except where the law requires it, or if we stop offering Pro, in which case we refund the unused time.
• Accounts: Pro belongs to the 2Sentence account you were signed in to when you paid and can't be moved to another account. If you delete your account, unused Pro time ends.

17. Mobile apps

If you get 2Sentence from Google Play or the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and Jethin Productions only, not Google or Apple, and we alone are responsible for the app and its support. The store's own terms also apply. For the iPhone app, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them, Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and, to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation and isn't responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. You confirm that you're not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

18. General

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about 2Sentence. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to someone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business, as described in the privacy policy. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
